Any information which is collected using the Website including sensitive and personal information will be held by Riks Charity in accordance with our Privacy and Data Protection Policy.

All notices sent to you will be sent to the email address provided with your registration details (as updated by you). By accepting these terms you give your consent to receive communications from Riks Charity by email and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that Riks Charity provides to you by email satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

In addition to locally mounted information, hyperlinks are provided to external websites and/or information sources as a service to you. All links are provided consistent with the academic mission of Riks Charity. The appearance of external hyperlinks shall not be taken as implying any connection between Riks Charity and the linked external information sources. These external information sources are outside Riks Charity’s control. It is your responsibility to make your own decisions about the accuracy, reliability and/or correctness of the information contained therein. The appearance of external hyperlinks does not constitute an endorsement by Riks Charity of the linked web sites, or the information, products or services contained therein nor does Riks Charity exercise any editorial control over the information which you may find at these locations.

MODIFICATION OF THE SITE AND THESE TERMS

By providing material on the Site, Riks Charity does not promise that the materials will remain available to you. Riks Charity is entitled to terminate all or any portion of the Site at any time, without notice to you. Riks Charity also reserves the right to change the terms, conditions, and notices for the Site at any time by updating this posting. Your use of the Site following any such changes will constitute your consent to such modified terms. You agree to review these terms regularly to verify for changes. TERMINATION OF THIS AGREEMENT

This agreement is effective until terminated by either party. You may terminate the agreement at any time, by destroying all materials obtained from the Site, along with all related documentation and all copies and installations. Riks Charity may terminate this agreement at any time and without notice to you if, in its sole judgement, you breach any term or condition of this agreement. Upon termination, you must destroy all materials.

MISCELLANEOUS

If any provision of this agreement is unlawful, void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of the agreement will remain in place. This is the entire agreement between you and Riks Charity regarding all aspects of your use of the Site.

APPLICABLE LAW

If you are a consumer, please note that these terms, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. You and Riks Charity both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

If you are a business, these terms, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. You and Riks Charity both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are an individual or business outside of England, you shall comply with all foreign and local laws and regulations which apply to your use of our Website in whatever country you are physically located, including without limitation, consumer law, export control laws and regulations.

DATA PRIVACY POLICY 

Riks Charity takes your data privacy seriously. This data privacy policy, together with Riks Charity’s Terms and Conditions, sets out the basis on which any personal information collected from you, or that you provide, will be processed.

There are governing principles that must be followed in relation to the processing of data about individuals including that data be:

  • Collected for a specific purpose
  • Relevant and necessary
  • Correct and up to date
  • Kept no longer than needed
  • Processed in accordance with individual’s rights

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE HOLD? 

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE:  You may provide Riks Charity with information about you by filling in forms on the site or third party online form service providers such as Google Forms, or by getting in touch with Riks Charity by phone, email, social media or otherwise.  This includes information you provide when you register to use the site, subscribe to services, search for a product, place an order on the site, report a problem on the site. The information you provide may include your name, address, email address, phone number, personal description, photographs and/or video, and financial and credit card information.

INFORMATION COLLECT ABOUT YOU: With regards to each of your visits to the site Riks Charity may automatically collect the following information:

  • Technical information including the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform.

WHERE DOES RIKS CHARITY STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
